Amy Reeder Hadley
Amy Reeder Hadley (born August 25, 1980) is an American comic artist, known for her work on books such as Fool's Gold and Madame Xanadu.
Early life
Amy Reeder was born August 25, 1980. She is originally from Denver, Colorado. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Teaching.[1]
Career
Amy Reeder Hadley was first discovered through the fourth of Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga competitions and went on to write and illustrate the OEL manga Fool's Gold.
She went on to become the lead artist on a new Madame Xanadu series from DC Comic's Vertigo imprint, with writer Matt Wagner.[2][3] In Spring 2010 DC announced that Hadley will take over art duties for the second story arc of the Batwoman series,[4] in addition to providing the covers to Supergirl.[5]
Technique and materials
In addition to pencils and an electric eraser, Reeder employs a drawing tablet for her work. For her hand-colored work, she uses Copic Multiliners, Copic Markers. Computer programs that she uses for her artwork include Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and ComicWorks.[1]
Personal life
In addition to creating comics, Reeder also enjoys writing music, singing and sewing.[1]
